The Holocaust and the United Nations Outreach Programme, in partnership with the Permanent Mission of the Czech Republic to the United Nations, will hold an exclusive preview of the award–winning Czech drama The Good and the True on 1 August from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Dag Hammarskjöld Library Auditorium.

A total of 60 college and university students from 26 countries have been invited to attend a youth forum at United Nations Headquarters on 27 June to discuss the role of multilingualism in a globalized world. They are winners of an international essay contest organized by the ELS Educational Services, Inc., and United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) of the world body’s Department of Public Information.

The global road safety crisis has reached an alarming magnitude, with more than 1.3 million people killed on roads every year, and one of the first steps towards addressing the issue would be acceding to and effectively implementing existing United Nations road safety agreements and conventions.

The exhibition, “Kwibuka20: Memory, Unity & Renewal in Rwanda after the Genocide” will open with a formal ceremony on Wednesday, 16 April at 7:30 p.m. in the Dag Hammarskjöld Library Visitor Centre gallery (1B).
