The new Permanent Representative of India to the United Nations, Ruchira Kamboj, presented her credentials to UN Secretary-General António Guterres today.

The new Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to the United Nations, Muhammad Abdul Muhith, presented his credentials to UN Secretary-General António Guterres today.

The new Permanent Representative of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations, Abdulaziz Alwasil, presented his credentials to UN Secretary-General António Guterres today.

The new Permanent Representative of Kuwait to the United Nations, Tareq M A M Albanai, presented his credentials to UN Secretary-General António Guterres today.

​​​​​​​United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres announced today the appointment of Abdou Abarry of Niger as his Special Representative for Central Africa and Head of the United Nations Regional Office for Central Africa (UNOCA).

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres appointed Denise Brown of Canada as the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Ukraine, with the host Government’s approval.  Ms. Brown takes up her post on 30 July.  She will also serve as Humanitarian Coordinator.

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres appointed Antje Grawe of Germany as the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Kyrgyzstan, with the host Government’s approval.  She takes up her post on 31 July.

​​​​​​​United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres announced today the appointment of Li Junhua of China as the next Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs.  He will succeed Liu Zhenmin of China, to whom the Secretary-General is grateful for his commitment and dedicated service to the Organization.

​​​​​​​Following consultations with the Director-General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Audrey Azoulay, and with her concurrence, United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has appointed Professor Tshilidzi Marwala of South Africa as Rector of the United Nations University (UNU) in Tokyo.

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres today announced the appointment of Ghulam Mohammad Isaczai of Afghanistan as his new Deputy Special Representative for Iraq in the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) and Resident Coordinator. Mr. Isaczai will also serve as the United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator.
