Biographical Note

​​​​​​​United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres appointed Nathalie Fustier of France as the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Morocco, with the host Government’s approval.  She takes up her post on 1 December.

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres appointed Olufunmilayo Abosede Balogun-Alexander of Nigeria as the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Timor-Leste, with the host Government’s approval. She takes up her post on 1 December.

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres appointed Nelson Muffuh of Cameroon as the United Nations Resident Coordinator in South Africa, with the host Government’s approval.  He takes up his post on 1 December.

​​​​​​​United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres today announced the appointment of Oscar Fernandez-Taranco of Argentina as Assistant Secretary-General for Development Coordination.  He succeeds Robert Piper of Australia, who was appointed as Special Adviser on Solutions to Internal Displacement.  The Secretary-General is deeply grateful to Mr. Piper for his dedicated service and commitment and his steadfast stewardship in operationalizing the new Development Coordination Office.

​​​​​​​United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres today announced the appointment of Reena Ghelani of Australia as United Nations Famine Prevention and Response Coordinator.

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has appointed Michelle Muschett of Panama as Assistant Secretary-General, Assistant Administrator and Director, Regional Bureau for Latin America and the Caribbean of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). 

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres today announced the appointment of Mohamed Ag Ayoya of Mali as his new Deputy Special Representative for the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) and Resident Coordinator for the Central African Republic.

​​​​​​​United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres appointed Lisa Singh of Nepal as the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Mauritius and Seychelles, with the host Government’s approval.  She will take up her post on 11 November.

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres appointed Ana Graça of Portugal as the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Panama, with the host Government’s approval.  She took up her post on 7 November.

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres appointed Francisco Pichon of Colombia as the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Cuba, with the host Government’s approval.  He will take up his post on 12 November.
