Ramon Escovar Salom, the new Permanent Representative of Venezuela to the United Nations, was elected today Chairman of the Sixth Committee (Legal).
Elfatih Mohamed Ahmed Erwa, the new Permanent Representative of the Sudan, presented his credential today to Secretary-General Boutros Boutros- Ghali.
Mr. Erwa became the State Minister for Defence in August 1995, after serving, at the ministerial level, as the National Security Adviser (1989- 1995).
Resio S. Moses, the new Permanent Representative of the Federated States of Micronesia to the United Nations, presented his credentials today to Secretary-General Boutros Boutros-Ghali.
