Background Release

The Commission on the Limits of the Continental Shelf will hold its sixty-seventh session from 6 July to 7 August at United Nations Headquarters in New York.

The thirty-sixth Meeting of States Parties to the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea will be convened at United Nations Headquarters from 15 to 19 June (for the provisional agenda of the Meeting see document SPLOS/36/L.1).

The third Meeting of States Parties to the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons will be held at the United Nations Headquarters from 3 to 7 March.

The Commission on the Limits of the Continental Shelf will hold its sixty-third session from 17 February to 21 March 2025 at United Nations Headquarters in New York. During the session, plenary meetings will be held from 24 to 28 February and from 10 to 14 March. The remainder of the session will be devoted to the technical examination of submissions by subcommissions on the Division premises, including geographic information systems laboratories and other facilities.
