The Commission on the Limits of the Continental Shelf will hold its fiftieth session from 1 July to 16 August.
NEW YORK, 13 June (Division for Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea) — The twenty-ninth Meeting of States Parties to the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea will be held at United Nations Headquarters from 17 to 19 June.
The Special Committee on Decolonization will hold the 2019 Caribbean Regional Seminar in Saint George’s, Grenada, from 2 to 4 May with a view to accelerating action in implementation of the third International Decade for the Eradication of Colonialism (2011-2020).
The Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People will convene the United Nations Forum on the Question of Palestine, “The threat of de facto annexation — What next for Palestine?”, on 4 April from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Trusteeship Chamber at United Nations Headquarters in New York.
Heads of State and Government, Cabinet Ministers and other senior officials, as well as representatives of civil society and the private and public sectors, will gather in Buenos Aires from 20 to 22 March for the Second High-level United Nations Conference on South-South Cooperation.
The Commission on the Limits of the Continental Shelf will hold its forty-ninth session from 28 January to 15 March. The plenary parts of the session will be held from 4 to 8 February and from 4 to 8 March.
Heads of State and Governments, ministers and other senior leaders, civil society representatives and representatives of the private and public sectors will gather in Marrakesh at a high-level conference from 10 to 11 December to formally adopt the first-ever Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration.
The Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People will hold a special meeting on 28 November to observe the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People in the Trusteeship Chamber from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
More than 3,000 participants — including high-level Government officials, civil society leaders, private sector and Internet policy experts — will gather in Paris, France, from 12-14 November to discuss international cooperation on such issues as “fake news”, the spread of disinformation, cybersecurity and privacy, big data, the Internet of Things, and their effects on society.
