Organization matters

The United Nations Board of Auditors held its sixty-eighth regular session at United Nations Headquarters in New York from 23 to 24 July 2014. The main purpose of the meeting was to review and approve 23 audit reports of the Board to be discussed by the General Assembly, and six reports to be presented to other legislative or governing bodies. A list of reports approved is attached to this document.

Working for the United Nations became more hazardous last year, with at least 58 persons losing their life in deliberate attacks.

After a long and intense journey, the Umoja design and build phases are coming to fruition. Umoja (Foundation) was completed within the schedule, budget and functionality approved by General Assembly resolution 67/246. Today, Umoja went live with a pilot deployment at the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) and the Office of the United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon (UNSCOL).
