The Secretary-General has appointed a Panel of external experts to conduct an interim independent assessment of the system of administration of justice at the United Nations. The establishment of the Panel responds to a request by the General Assembly in its resolution 69/203 of 18 December 2014.
On 29 December 2014, the General Assembly, in its resolution 69/246, requested the Secretary-General to appoint an independent panel of experts to examine and assess the probative value of new information related to the tragic death, in September 1961, of Dag Hammarskjöld and the members of the party accompanying him.
The Independent Audit Advisory Committee of the United Nations (IAAC) held its twenty-ninth session from 18 to 20 February 2015.
