KINGSTON, 18 March -- The Assembly of the International Seabed Authority, meeting at Kingston this morning, began consideration of a draft protocol on the legal privileges and immunities of the Authority.
KINGSTON, 17 March -- The 134-member Assembly of the International Seabed Authority began the first part of its third session in Kingston this afternoon with the election of a new President, the adoption of the agenda for the session and the expression of tributes to three world leaders who died recently.
KINGSTON, 13 March -- Work on a mining code for the deep seabed, designed to regulate prospecting and exploration for mineral resources that lie at the bottom of the ocean beyond the jurisdiction of any country, will be taken up when the International Seabed Authority holds the first part of its third session at Kingston, from 17 to 27 March.
KINGSTON, 5 August -- The Assembly of the International Seabed Authority began the second part of its second session this afternoon by agreeing to allow 30 countries to continue to participate in its work on a provisional basis.
