SEABED AUTHORITY PRESS RELEASES NOW AVAILABLE ON NEW WEB PAGE

KINGSTON, 18 March -- Press releases on meetings of the current third session of the International Seabed Authority are now available in English on the Authority's new World Wide Web site. The Internet address is http:\\www.isa.org.jm.

The releases are among the initial offerings on the Web page, which will gradually be expanded to permit broad international access to documents and other information about the Authority and other activities pertaining to the seabed area beyond national jurisdiction.

This will be a sister site to the Web page on the law of the sea established by the Division of Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea, part of the United Nations Secretariat in New York. That page is accessible through the main United Nations site, http:\\www.un.org. The Authority's site is being maintained by the secretariat of the Authority in Kingston.
