The General Assembly remains unable to complete the election of members to the Economic and Social Council to replace those whose terms are expiring on 31 December.
The Economic and Social Council concluded its 2022 management segment today with a round-table discussion on the theme of “Leveraging ECOSOC for an inclusive and resilient recovery guided by the 2030 Agenda”.
Opening its 2022 management segment today, the Economic and Social Council adopted 6 resolutions and 11 decisions pertaining to proposals by its subsidiary bodies.
Concluding its 2022 regular session today, the Committee on Non-Governmental Organizations approved its draft report — as orally revised to reflect substantive disagreement among members on several matters — and recommended that the Economic and Social Council grant consultative status to a total of 203 organizations.
