UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon announced today the appointment of Major General Luiz Guilherme Paul Cruz of Brazil as Force Commander of the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH).

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has announced the appointment of Martin Kobler of Germany as his Deputy Special Representative (Political) for Afghanistan, replacing Peter Galbraith of the United States.
