The following statement was issued today by Ambassador Emilio J. Cardenas (Argentina), Chairman of the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 724 (1991) concerning Yugoslavia, on behalf of the members:
Resolution 1030 (1995) Expresses Regret at Slow Progress Toward Political Solution, Emphasizes Primary Responsibility of Parties
The Security Council this afternoon adjusted the mandate of the United Nations Mission for Rwanda (UNAMIR) and granted a final extension until 8 March 1996.
The Security Council this afternoon extended the mandate of the United Nations Mission for Rwanda (UNAMIR) until 12 December 1995. The mandate was due to expire today at midnight.
The Security Council this afternoon demanded an immediate end to the looting and burning of houses by Bosnian Croat forces in the area of Mrkonjic Grad and Sipovo, and to similar acts committed by Bosnian Serb forces in other areas of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Sergey V. Lavrov (Russian Federation) will succeed Salim Mohammed Al'Khussaiby (Oman) as President of the Security Council.
MILITARY STAFF COMMITTEE
The Security Council this afternoon extended the mandate of the United Nations Preventive Deployment Force (UNPREDEP) in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia for a six-month period, terminating on 30 May 1996.
The Security Council this afternoon extended the mandate of the United Nations Protection Force (UNPROFOR) for a two-month period until 31 January 1996, pending further action by the Council with regard to implementation of the General Framework Agreement for Peace (Peace Agreement) in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
