APPROVES AMENDMENTS TO NEW CONSOLIDATED GUIDELINES FOR CONDUCT OF ITS WORK


The Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 751 (1992) concerning Somalia today approved two technical amendments to the new consolidated guidelines for the conduct of its work adopted on 20 July 2001.

FIGHT HIV/AIDS IN NIGERIA


NEW YORK, 1 August (UNFPA) -– The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) has welcomed the decision of the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) to grant 10 million Canadian dollars (about US $6.6 million) over two years to expand Fund-supported reproductive health services and HIV/AIDS prevention initiatives in Nigeria.
