SECURITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE ESTABLISHED PURSUANT TO RESOLUTION 751 (1992) ON SOMALIA
APPROVES AMENDMENTS TO NEW CONSOLIDATED GUIDELINES FOR CONDUCT OF ITS WORK
The Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 751 (1992) concerning Somalia today approved two technical amendments to the new consolidated guidelines for the conduct of its work adopted on 20 July 2001.
Pursuant to the new consolidated guidelines, which were drafted following the adoption on 19 June 2001 of Security Council resolution 1356 (2001), the Committee will give consideration to and decide upon requests for exemptions to the measures imposed by paragraph 5 of resolution 733 (1992), as set out in paragraph 3 of resolution 1356 (2001).
The amended new consolidated guidelines will be transmitted to all States and international organizations/agencies.
