United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres, World Food Programme (WFP) Executive Director Cindy McCain and Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) Director General Qu Dongyu announced today the appointment of Rania Dagash-Kamara of Sudan as WFP Assistant Executive Director for Partnerships and Resource Mobilization. She succeeds Ute Klamert of Germany, to whom the Secretary-General is grateful for her service and dedication to the organization.

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres today announced the appointment of Sarhad Fatah of Iraq as Deputy Head of Mission for the Office of the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Yemen. Mr. Fatah succeeds Muin Shreim of the United States, to whom the Secretary-General is grateful for his commitment and decades of dedicated service to the Organization.

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres announced today the appointment of Natalie Boucly of France as Deputy Commissioner-General (Programmes and Partnerships) of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA). She will succeed Leni Stenseth of Norway to whom the Secretary-General expresses his appreciation for her service and commitment to the Organization.

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres announced today the appointment of Indrika Ratwatte of Sri Lanka as his new Deputy Special Representative for Afghanistan with the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) and Resident Coordinator in Afghanistan.   Mr. Ratwatte will also serve as the Humanitarian Coordinator.
