SITUATIONS IN KOSOVO AND KASHMIR DISCUSSED IN CONFERENCE ON DISARMAMENT

GENEVA, 3 June (UN Information Service) -- The situations in Kosovo and Kashmir were discussed this morning in the Conference on Disarmament which heard statements from the representatives of the United States, China, Pakistan, India and Bangladesh.

ICJ REJECTS YUGOSLAVIA'S REQUEST FOR ORDER TO HALT USE OF FORCE BY PORTUGAL, REMAINS SEIZED OF CASE

THE HAGUE, 2 June (ICJ) -- Today, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) rejected the request for the indication of provisional measures submitted by the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (FRY) in the case concerning Legality of Use of Force (Yugoslavia v. Portugal). The decision was taken by eleven votes to four.
