The General Assembly would condemn the arbitrary execution, after a flawed judicial process, of Ken Saro-Wiwa and his eight co-defendants, under the terms of a draft resolution approved, as orally revised, this morning in the Third Committee (Social, Humanitarian and Cultural).

SECOND COMMITTEE APPROVES ITS DRAFT PROGRAMME FOR 1996-1997, CONCLUDING WORK OF SESSION

19951213 The Second Committee (Economic and Financial) concluded its work for the session this morning by approving, as orally amended, its draft biennial programme of work for 1996-1997.

At the current session the Committee approved 42 draft proposals, two by recorded votes, and held 45 formal meetings.
