United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon announced today the appointment of Franz Baumann of Germany as Assistant Secretary-General, Department for General Assembly and Conference Management. Mr. Baumann will replace Yohannes Mengesha.

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon announced today the appointment of Gregory B. Starr of the United States as Under-Secretary-General for Safety and Security. Mr. Starr will replace David Veness.

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has appointed Marta Santos Pais of Portugal as his Special Representative on Violence against Children at the level of Assistant Secretary-General.

Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has decided to appoint Anthony Banbury of the United Sates as Assistant Secretary-General for Field Support.
