Secretary-General appoints maria dotsenko of ukraine as Public Information
Department representative in United Nations armenia office
United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon is pleased to announce the appointment of Maria Dotsenko, a national of Ukraine, as Representative of the Department of Public Information in the United Nations Office in Yerevan, Armenia. She assumed her new duties on 10 August 2009.
Ms. Dotsenko served as Spokesperson and Head of the Press and Public Information Unit in the Mission of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Serbia from June 2008 until August 2009. From January 2005 to June 2008, she was the Press and Public Information/Media Development Officer with the OSCE Spillover Monitor Mission to Skopje, former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.
While working in Ukraine, Ms. Dotsenko was the Media Adviser in the Office of the OSCE Project Coordinator; a project manager with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID); and a technical analyst for the Citizens Network for Foreign Affairs.
Ms. Dotsenko has a Master of Arts degree in journalism and a Master of Sciences in mathematics from Kyiv State University, a Master of Business Administration from the International Management Institute, and a Doctor of Philosophy in mathematics from the Ukrainian Academy of Science.
