SECURITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE CONCERNING AFGHANISTAN

In accordance with paragraph 12 and 16 (d) of resolution 1333 (2000), the Committee today approved the following organizations to be added to the initial list adopted by the Committee on 19 January 2001 (AFG/123; SC/6994).  The list will be updated as necessary.

ISLAMABAD, 21 May (WFP) -- The World Food Programme today started distributing food supplies to more than 70,000 poor Afghans who have been living in a squalid camp near Peshawar, Pakistan, for the past five months.
