Seeks $4.5 Million to Counter Health Risks Confronting Refugees


NEW YORK, 28 September (UNFPA) -- Responding to the grave health emergency now facing Afghan women, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is mounting its largest-ever humanitarian operation.  The Fund is asking international donors for $4.5 million to support the effort.

HUMANITARIAN RELIEF PROVIDERS TO CONSOLIDATED LIST


In accordance with paragraph 4 (b) of resolution 1267 (1999), the Committee today approved the following organization to be added to the consolidated list of entities and/or persons that have so far been identified by the Committee based on information provided by Member States (AFG/131 – SC/7028, 8 March 2001).
