SECURITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE ON AFGHANISTAN AMENDS LIST
In accordance with paragraph 4(b) of Security Council resolution 1267 (1999) regarding designated funds and financial resources of the Taliban or entities and/or persons that have so far been identified by the Committee based on information provided by Member States, the Committee today deleted the following names from the list published on 25 January 2001 (AFG/124; SC/6998):

HUMANITARIAN SITUATION IN AFGHANISTAN
The following statement was issued today by the Spokesman for Secretary-General Kofi Annan:
In a note verbale addressed to Member States on 12 April 2000, the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 1267 (1999) concerning Afghanistan designated funds and financial resources of the Taliban as per paragraph 4(b) of that resolution and approved a list of entities and/or persons that have so far been identified by the Committee based on information provided by Member States as falling under one of the categories mentioned in the above note, as well as in Press Release SC/6844. The following entities have been added to the list:

APPROVED LIST OF HUMANITARIAN RELIEF PROVIDERS FOR AFGHANISTAN
In accordance with paragraph 12 of Security Council resolution 1333 (2000), the Committee is actively working on a list of organizations and governmental relief agencies providing humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan that shall be exempt from the prohibitions imposed by paragraph 11 of Security Council resolution 1333 (2000) and paragraph 4(a) of Security Council resolution 1267 (1999).
