WOMEN'S ANTI-DISCRIMINATION COMMITTEE TAKES UP SECOND, THIRD PERIODIC REPORTS OF IRAQ

The representative of Iraq introduced her country’s second and third periodic reports on compliance with the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women this morning, highlighting for the monitoring body the effect on Iraq’s women and children of the 10-year economic embargo placed on her country.
