Continuing its forty-fifth session this morning, the Commission on the Status of Women considered the report of the Secretary-General assessing the implications of reforming human rights communications procedures concerning the status of women.

COMMISSION PANEL ON WOMEN AND AIDS DISCUSSES RELATIONS BETWEEN MEN AND WOMEN,

NEED FOR TREATMENT ACCESS, AND QUESTION OF AIDS TESTING

During an expert panel discussion this afternoon on “Women, Girls and HIV/AIDS”, the Commission on the Status of Women was told that the disease was a relational issue and thus a gender and human security issue.
