On Monday morning, 13 March, the Secretary-General began an official visit to the United Kingdom with an on-the-record breakfast meeting with senior editors at the Royal Commonwealth Society.

The Secretary-General flew from Sydney, Australia, to Wellington, New Zealand, arriving close to midnight on Tuesday, 22 February.

The Secretary-General flew from Dili, East Timor, to Darwin, Australia, on Friday, 18 February.

The Secretary-General arrived in Dili from Jakarta on the morning of Thursday, 17 February.

The Secretary-General arrived in Jakarta from Singapore late in the morning of Tuesday, 15 February. He began his official programme in Indonesia in the early afternoon with a one-on-one meeting with Foreign Minister Alwi Shihab.

The Secretary-General arrived in Bangkok on the evening of Wednesday, 9 February. He was met at the airport by the Foreign Minister of Thailand, Surin Pitsuwan.

The Secretary-General travelled from Bangkok to Singapore on the afternoon of Sunday, 13 February. That evening, he had dinner with Ambassador Tommy Koh of Singapore.

The Secretary-General arrived in Geneva, from Moscow on the evening of Saturday, 29 January.

The Secretary-General arrived in Moscow on the morning of Thursday, 27 January, for two days of talks with Russian leaders, including his first encounter with acting President, Vladimir Putin.

The Secretary-General departed New York on Tuesday, 7 December, for Montreal, where he was due to participate in the World Civil Society Conference, which was organized by a coalition of non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
