SECURITY COUNCIL EXTENDS UNPROFOR MANDATE UNTIL 31 JANUARY 1996
19951130The Security Council this afternoon extended the mandate of the United Nations Protection Force (UNPROFOR) for a two-month period until 31 January 1996, pending further action by the Council with regard to implementation of the General Framework Agreement for Peace (Peace Agreement) in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

SECURITY COUNCIL RENEWS MANDATE OF UNDOF UNTIL 31 MAY
19951128The Security Council this afternoon renewed the mandate of the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) on the Syrian Golan Heights for a further six months, until 31 May 1996. The Force was established in 1974 to supervise the cease-fire called for by the May 1974 Agreement on Disengagement between Israeli and Syrian forces.

SECURITY COUNCIL CALLS FOR IMMEDIATE END TO FIGHTING IN SIERRA LEONE
19951127The Security Council this afternoon called for an immediate end to the fighting in Sierra Leone and urged the Revolutionary United Front whose attempt to overthrow the Government in 1991 began the conflict, to take advantage of the Secretary-General's offer of good offices to facilitate negotiations.
Unanimously Decides on Conditional Suspension of General Sanctions Against Federal Republic of Yugoslavia Subject to Follow-Up of Peace Agreement
The Security Council this afternoon decided to end the arms embargo on the former Yugoslavia and to indefinitely suspend a series of sanctions on the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (Serbia and Montenegro) which have been in place since May 1992.
