United Nations Secretary‑General António Guterres today announced the appointment of Lieutenant General (Retired) Carlos Alberto dos Santos Cruz of Brazil to lead a high‑level review of peacekeeping fatalities and injuries due to violent acts. The review will submit short- and long‑term recommendations to the Secretary‑General on measures to reduce the number of fatalities and injuries.
