The World Conference of Ministers Responsible for Youth will be held at the Lisbon International Congress Centre (LICC). The Portuguese Secretariat for Conferences 1998 is responsible for organizing the event in cooperation with the United Nations.

The delegation of Mali has been chosen by lot to occupy the first seat in the General Assembly Hall during the fifty-third regular session, opening on Wednesday, 9 September. The delegation of Mali will, therefore, be seated in the front row at the extreme left (the Secretary-General's side of the podium).

Shaikh Isa Bin Salman Al-Khalifa, Amir of Bahrain, will visit Headquarters on Friday, 29 May, to confer with Secretary-General Kofi Annan.
The Department of Public Information (DPI) is launching at 1 p.m. today, 22 May, the United Nations website for the Diplomatic Conference of Plenipotentiaries on the Establishment of an International Criminal Court, which will be held in Rome from 15 June to 17 July.
