On the seventh day of its 2018 regular session, the Committee on Non-Governmental Organizations today took note of 394 quadrennial reports from various organizations, while postponing action on several other reports after members of the body requested additional information from their respective applicant groups.
On the sixth day of its 2018 regular session, the Committee on Non‑Governmental Organizations today recommended 2 entities for special consultative status with the Economic and Social Council, deferred action on the status of 44 and voted against status for 1 other.
In the fifth day of its 2018 regular session, the Committee on Non‑Governmental Organizations today recommended 6 entities for special consultative status with the Economic and Social Council, deferred action on the status of 47 and voted against status for 1 other.
Continuing its regular session for 2018, the Committee on Non-Governmental Organizations today recommended 18 organizations for special consultative status with the Economic and Social Council and deferred action on the status of 48 others. The Committee also deferred consideration of two organizations' reclassification applications.
Continuing its regular session for 2018, the Committee on Non-Governmental Organizations today recommended 42 organizations for special consultative status with the Economic and Social Council and deferred action on the status of 44 others.
Continuing its regular session for 2018, the Committee on Non-Governmental Organizations today recommended 61 organizations for special consultative status with the Economic and Social Council and deferred action on the status of 24 others.
Opening its regular session for 2018, the Committee on Non-Governmental Organizations today recommended 95 organizations for special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council and deferred action on the status of 37 others.
The Department of Public Information/Non-Governmental Organizations Association Committee today associated 21 non‑governmental organizations with the United Nations Department of Public Information. One non‑governmental organization was also disassociated at the committee meeting. That brings the number of non‑governmental organizations working with the Department in the area of communications and outreach to 1,485.
