The 2017 United Nations Programme of Fellowships on Disarmament begins today at the United Nations Office at Geneva with the participation of young diplomats and other Government officials from 25 United Nations Member States.
From 7 until 11 August 2017, in cooperation with the United Nations Committee established pursuant to resolution 1540 (2004), China hosted a training course in Xi’an for 1540 national Points of Contact in the Asia-Pacific region.
NEW YORK, 15 August (Office for Disarmament Affairs) — The United Nations Regional Centre for Peace and Disarmament in Asia and the Pacific and the Government of Mongolia will jointly organize a training workshop on building capacity for the implementation of the Programme of Action to Prevent, Combat and Eradicate the Illicit Trade in Small Arms and Light Weapons in Central Asia, to be held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, on 16 and 17 August.
