SECURITY COUNCIL EXTENDS UN OPERATION IN BURUNDI UNTIL 1 DECEMBER,
UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTING RESOLUTION 1602 (2005)
Welcoming recent positive achievements by the parties in Burundi, including since the deployment of the United Nations Operation (ONUB) there last June, the Security Council this afternoon extended the mandate of the Operation until 1 December 2005.
