The Security Council decided to extend for one year its authorization to States working as part of the multinational stabilization force in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and heard a briefing by the high representative in that country, with voting results announced virtually in accordance with the temporary silence procedure adopted for the COVID-19 pandemic.

On 2 November 2020, the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 1533 (2004) concerning the Democratic Republic of the Congo amended the list entry of the following individual included on its list of individuals and entities subject to the assets freeze and travel ban set out in paragraphs 1 to 6 of resolution 2293 (2016), as renewed by paragraph 1 of resolution 2528 (2020), adopted under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations:

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres, the head of the United Nations gender equality entity, briefers from the field and Security Council members called for expedited empowerment and protection of women in conflict situations, during a video-teleconference Council meeting today, on the twentieth anniversary of the Council’s landmark resolution 1325 (2000).
