On 14 March 2016, the Security Council Committee pursuant to resolutions 751 (1992) and 1907 (2009) concerning Somalia and Eritrea adopted its second implementation assistance notice entitled “Summary of arms embargo restrictions in place for Somalia and Eritrea, including exemptions”.
On 9 March 2016, the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 2127 (2013) concerning the Central African Republic held a meeting to discuss the sanctions-monitoring mandate of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) and the role of the United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS) in the management of weapons and ammunition management in that country.

On 7 March 2016, the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 2127 (2013) concerning the Central African Republic approved the following one individual and one entity as subject to the measures imposed by paragraphs 5 and 8 of resolution 2262 (2016):
On 29 February 2016, the Security Council Committee pursuant to resolutions 1267 (1999), 1989 (2011) and 2253 (2015) concerning ISIL (Da’esh), Al-Qaida and associated individuals, groups, undertakings and entities approved the addition of the entries specified below to its Al-Qaida Sanctions List of individuals and entities subject to the assets freeze, travel ban and arms embargo set out in paragraph 2 of Security Council resolution 2253 (2015) adopted under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations.
