United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has appointed Mohamed Ali Alhakim of Iraq as the next Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA).

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has appointed Olga Algayerova of Slovakia as the next Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (ECE).

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has appointed Vera Songwe of Cameroon as the next Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA).  She will succeed Carlos Lopes of Guinea-Bissau, to whom the Secretary-General is grateful for his commitment and dedicated service to the Organization.

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres today announced the appointment of Fekitamoeloa Katoa ‘Utoikamanu of Tonga as High Representative for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States.

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has appointed Pramila Patten of Mauritius as his Special Representative on Sexual Violence in Conflict at the level of Under-Secretary-General.

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has appointed Virginia Gamba of Argentina as his Special Representative for Children and Armed Conflict at the level of Under-Secretary-General.
