International Day To Be Observed on 26 June
Following is the message of Secretary-General Kofi Annan on the occasion of the International Day in Support of Victims of Torture, observed on 26 June:
Secretary-General Kofi Annan has appointed Brigadier Rezaqul Haider of Bangladesh as Chief Military Liaison Officer of the United Nations Mission in East Timor (UNAMET). Brigadier Haider will assume the post shortly.
