Following are UN Secretary-General António Guterres’ opening remarks to the twelfth Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)-United Nations Summit, in Phnom Penh, today:
United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres appointed Francisco Pichon of Colombia as the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Cuba, with the host Government’s approval. He will take up his post on 12 November.
United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres appointed Lisa Singh of Nepal as the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Mauritius and Seychelles, with the host Government’s approval. She will take up her post on 11 November.
United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres appointed Lila Pieters Yahia of Canada as the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Mauritania, with the host Government’s approval. She took up her post on 7 November.
