United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon announced today the appointment of Noeleen Heyzer of Singapore, the current Executive Secretary of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), as Special Adviser of the Secretary General for Timor-Leste.

The Secretary-General today appointed His Royal Highness Prince El Hassan Bin Talal of Jordan as the new Chairman of his Advisory Board on Water and Sanitation.
