TWO UNITED NATIONS PALESTINE RELIEF AGENCY EMPLOYEES KILLED


DURING ISRAELI MILITARY ASSAULT IN GAZA


GAZA CITY, 6 December (UNRWA) -- The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) has learned that two if its employees have been killed during the Israeli military assault on Bureij refugee camp in the Gaza Strip in the early hours of this morning.

SECURITY COUNCIL EXTENDS ‘OIL-FOR-FOOD’ PROGRAMME FOR IRAQ FOR 180 DAYS


Resolution 1447 (2002) Adopted Unanimously


The Security Council this evening decided that the measures establishing  the “oil-for-food” programme for Iraq would remain in force for a new period of 180 days.  The programme was to expire tonight at 12 o’clock.
