NAIROBI/DUBNA, 11 June (UNEP) -- An elite group of young people will be converging on the Russian town of Dubna to share their passions for a greener, cleaner world and to draw up action plans for realizing an environmentally friendly future.

The Secretary-General travelled to Washington, D.C. in the morning of Wednesday, 11 June, where he met with United States Secretary of State Colin Powell for a private working lunch, at which they discussed the Middle East and Iraq, operations in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Liberia and Myanmar.
