FILLS VACANCIES ON SUBSIDIARY BODIES

 


Unanimously adopting four resolutions to enhance cooperation between the United Nations and regional and other organizations, the General Assembly today continued its efforts to strengthen solidarity through multilateral cooperation.

Dear colleagues and friends, I am delighted to welcome you to another lecture in this series.  Today, our subject is music.

“What’s that got to do with the UN?” you may be asking.  My answer is that music has to do with everything.

The Secretary-General has announced the appointment of Hocine Medili of Algeria as Principal Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General for the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH).
