On 29 March 2010, the Security Council Al-Qaida and Taliban Sanctions Committee approved the deletion (de-listing) of the entry specified below from its Consolidated List. The Committee approved this de-listing following its review of the name, as called for in paragraph 25 of Security Council resolution 1822 (2008). The assets freeze, travel ban and arms embargo set out in paragraph 1 of Security Council resolution 1904 (2009) therefore no longer apply to the following individual:

The United Nations Department of Public Information and the Anne Frank Center USA are launching a Twitter campaign in memory of Anne Frank, the young German-Jewish girl who perished in the Holocaust 65 years ago, with the aim of encouraging young people to learn from her experience hiding from the Nazis in the final months of her life.

The United Nations and the United States, in cooperation with the Government of Haiti, will convene a high-level donors’ conference under the theme “Towards a New Future in Haiti” at United Nations Headquarters in New York on 31 March to secure the financial resources necessary for the earthquake-devastated country’s recovery, and by doing so, demonstrate the international community’s steadfast commitment to its people as they struggle to rebuild their lives.
