United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon announced today the appointment of Major General Imam Edy Mulyono of Indonesia as Force Commander of the United Nations Mission for the Referendum in Western Sahara.

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon announced today the appointment of Lieutenant General Maqsood Ahmed of Pakistan as the Military Adviser for Peacekeeping Operations, replacing Senegal’s Lieutenant General Babacar Gaye, whose tour of duty ended on 8 July.
On 26 August 2013, the Security Council Committee pursuant to resolutions 1267 (1999) and 1989 (2011) approved the deletion (delisting) of the entry specified below from the Al-Qaida Sanctions List. The assets freeze, travel ban and arms embargo set out in paragraph 1 of Security Council resolution 2083 (2012) therefore no longer apply to the following entry:
