The Sixth Committee (Legal) elected Alya Ahmed Saif al-Thani (Qatar) on 7 June.

On 25 September, United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres appointed Damien Mama of Benin as the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Burundi, with the host Government’s approval.

The Fifth Committee (Administrative and Budgetary) elected Mher Margaryan (Armenia) as Chair on 7 June.

The Second Committee (Economic and Financial) elected Vanessa Frazier (Malta) as Chair on 7  June 2021.  (See Press Release GA/12332.)

The new Permanent Representative of Seychelles to the United Nations, Ian Madeleine, presented his credentials to UN Secretary-General António Guterres today.

The new Permanent Representative of Egypt to the United Nations, Osama Mahmoud Abdel Khalek Mahmoud, presented his credentials to UN Secretary-General António Guterres today.

The new Permanent Representative of Palau to the United Nations, Ilana Seid, presented her credentials to UN Secretary-General António Guterres today.

The new Permanent Representative of Jamaica to the United Nations, Brian Wallace, presented his credentials to UN Secretary-General António Guterres today.

The new Permanent Representative of Burkina Faso to the United Nations, Seydou Sinka, presented his credentials to the Secretariat today.

The new Permanent Representative of Germany to the United Nations, Antje Leendertse, presented her credentials to UN Secretary-General António Guterres today.
