The new Permanent Representative of Zimbabwe to the United Nations, Albert Ranganai Chimbindi, paid a courtesy call on UN Secretary-General António Guterres today.

The new Permanent Representative of Timor-Leste to the United Nations, Karlito Nunes, presented his credentials to the Secretariat today.

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres announced today the appointment of Hans Grundberg of Sweden as his Special Envoy for Yemen.  Mr. Grundberg succeeds Martin Griffiths (United Kingdom), who has been appointed Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator in the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and to whom the Secretary-General is grateful for his commitment and dedicated service.

On 5 July, United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres appointed Savina Ammassari of Brazil as the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Gabon, with the host Government’s approval.

On 1 August, United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres appointed Pablo Ruiz Hiebra of Spain as the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Uruguay, with the host Government’s approval.
