FLOODS HIT ETHIOPIA, SOMALIA


NEW YORK, 26 April (OCHA) -- In East Africa, heavy rains have caused severe flooding in Ethiopia and Somalia, and floods have not only led to deaths and displacement, but also to extensive damage to property and farmland, the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported today.

TUNISIA SENDING FARMING EXPERTS TO TOGO UNDER SOUTH-SOUTH COOPERATION

ROME, 22 April (FAO) -- Tunisia is sending 20 farming experts and technicians to Togo to work with local experts, as part of an agreement signed today between the two countries and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).

UN HUMANITARIAN OFFICE DONOR SUPPORT GROUP VISITS GUINEA


CONAKRY, 18 April (OCHA) -– A 15-member delegation of the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) Donor Support Group, represented by Belgium, Canada, the European Community Humanitarian Office, France, Germany, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and the United States will arrive in Conakry, from Abidjan tomorrow for a three-day visit to Guinea.
