New Permanent Representative of Palau Presents Credentials

The new Permanent Representative of Palau to the United Nations, Ngedikes Olai Uludong, presented her credentials to UN Secretary-General António Guterres today.
Prior to her appointment, Ms. Uludong was Palau’s Ambassador to the European Union and Belgium. Serving concurrently as Ambassador on Climate Change, she was the lead negotiator for the Alliance of Small Island States on the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change between 2012 and 2014.
During her career, Ms. Uludong also served as a consultant, adviser and planner in a number of South Pacific island nations, specializing in climate change and the environment.
She holds a Master of Science degree in climate change from the University of the South Pacific and a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice from the University of Guam.
