Secretary-General Kofi Annan and Mrs. Annan travelled to Philadelphia on the morning of Monday, 30 April, where the Secretary-General was the keynote speaker at the 2001 Annual Conference of the Council on Foundations.

Secretary-General Kofi Annan departed New York on Saturday, 24 March, arriving in Amman, Jordan, on Sunday night, to attend the Summit Meeting of the League of Arab States, which was due to begin on Tuesday, 27 March.

The Secretary-General travelled to Washington, D.C., on Friday afternoon,  23 March, for his first meeting with United States President George W. Bush and senior members of his Administration.

Secretary-General Kofi Annan flew from Bangladesh to India on Thursday, 15 March.
