Council Briefed by Presidents and Chief Prosecutor of Two Organs

The Security Council met today to take up the International Criminal Tribunals for the Former Yugoslavia and Rwanda. As it did so, it was briefed by the Presidents and Prosecutor of those two organs.

SECURITY COUNCIL EXPRESSES STRONG SUPPORT FOR SOLOMON ISLANDS PEACE AGREEMENT

The Security Council this morning expressed its strong support for a peace agreement concluded on 15 October for the cessation of the hostilities between two groups -- the Malaita Eagle Force and the Isatabu Freedom Movement -- on Solomon Islands.
