APPROVAL OF POST-TRANSITIONAL CONSTITUTION

 

The Security Council today welcomed the approval by the Burundian people of the post-transitional Constitution, through the referendum of 28 February whose final results have just been declared.

SECURITY COUNCIL EXTENDS DEADLINE FOR NOMINATIONS

 

TO FORMER YUGOSLAVIA TRIBUNAL UNTIL 31 MARCH

 

The Security Council decided this afternoon to extend the deadline for nominations to the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia until 31 March, thereby endorsing a suggestion by Secretary-General Kofi Annan.
